In today's busy world, you have very little time left at the end of the day. We understand how time consuming and difficult it can be when you or your family needs medical attention. That is why we are available when you need us for early morning, evening or weekend appointments. Your family deserves our special approach to affordable and efficient healthcare. Let our Family Care clinic reduce the hassle and improve your medical experience. We make family medicine simple, secure and efficient for our patients.
Injuries from a motor vehicle and other accidents can be painful, complicated and stressful, and the issues faced by patients who suffer such injuries can be confusing and troublesome. Our board certified physician is available when you need us, urgently right after your accident or later for painful flare-ups, complications and referrals to other qualified professionals.
At our office we put special emphasis on the prevention of illness and disease by encouraging patients to make appointments for regular check-ups. As your family practice doctor, our staff will always focus on the early detection of medical problems and the timely intervention for treatment. Our Well Baby, Well Child and Well Woman visits are the perfect answer to keeping your family healthy while controlling the overall costs of your medical care.
If you are a first-time parent or a high-risk pregnancy, you should make an appointment for a visit with our board-certified physician to discuss important issues before your baby is born. For all parents, our staff can arrange for a consultation for you to discuss general issues such as feeding or circumcision. During this very early developmental stage, your baby will need routine pediatric visits for follow-up exams and immunizations. To take advantage of our "well baby" visits program, contact us. Our courteous staff will gladly answer all of your questions.
"Well Child" visits are important for monitoring your child's rapid growth and emotional development during early years of change. Our doctor pays special attention to whether your child is meeting the normal developmental milestones for his or her age group. We will keep you informed as to the latest infectious diseases that we are seeing in Northern Virginia for school-age children. We will also discuss your child's diet, immunizations and general healthcare during these routine visitations.
Depending upon your age and health history, we recommend that all women over the age of 21 should have annual exams and wellness screenings. During your "Well Woman" visits, your physician will update your family history and perform a routine physical exam. It is also important for all women to have a Pap test as part of their routine health care. Contrary to some beliefs, there is no established age limit for the Pap test even if you have already gone through menopause. Once you reach age 65, you can discuss your risk factors with our family physician to determine whether you need to continue having Pap tests.
We offer immigration medical exam physicals. These immigration medical exams are required for individuals applying for citizenship, seeking Permanent Residency, or applying for a Green Card. These applicants must have an immigration physical before they can be approved.
It is mandatory that the immigration physical exam be completed by a designated civil surgeon so the exam is valid. Our physician who performs immigration physicals, Kanika Govil MD, is a designated civil surgeon for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, and is experienced with the medical requirements of these immigration examinations.
The results of the examination will be provided to an immigration officer and may be shared with appropriate United States health authorities.
